Overcoming the Giant of Criticism

Message Summary:

Everyone faces giants. But before David ever fought Goliath, he had to overcome the giant of criticism.
The voices around him—his brother Eliab, king Saul, and even his own inner doubts—echo the same voices that still attack us today: You don’t belong. You’re not enough. You can’t do it.

But David shows us how to respond:
 • He turned away from the critic beside him.
 • He remembered God’s faithfulness when the critic above him doubted.
 • He declared God’s sufficiency when the critic inside him whispered failure.

And just as David points us forward, Jesus fulfills this truth. Jesus endured relentless criticism on His way to the cross, yet He never let it define Him. Instead, He entrusted Himself to the Father. Through Him, we don’t just face our critics—we overcome them.

Because God’s voice is greater.
