Jesus Changes Everything: He Is The Way

Message Summary:
In life, everyone wants to know the way. The fastest way to work. The way to joy. The way to health. The way to a strong marriage. And, ultimately, the way to God.
In John 14:5–6, Thomas asks Jesus how to find the way. But Jesus flips the conversation: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” This isn’t about following a path or a philosophy—it’s about knowing a Person. Jesus doesn’t just teach the way; He is the way.
That changes everything. If Jesus is truly the Son of God, the Savior of the world, then our only response is to follow Him with our whole life. Romans 6 reminds us that baptism symbolizes being immersed into Jesus’ death, resurrection, and new life—changed from the inside out, like a Blizzard mixed all the way through, not just topped with sweetness.
When Jesus becomes everything to us, He changes the way we talk, forgive, date, parent, love, give, and serve. Baptism is a public declaration of that reality: Jesus is everything, and He has my life all the way through.
So what is the Way? Jesus. The Truth? Jesus’ victory over death. The Life? The new, eternal life we have in Him. As 1 Corinthians 15 declares: “Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
