Walking In Your Purpose

Message Summary:
Sometimes we wrestle with questions like, What am I even doing with my life? We long to live with purpose—to feel like our lives matter beyond the endless to-do lists, emails, and DMV lines. The grind of life can feel anything but spiritual. And yet, Scripture reminds us: You were made on purpose, for a purpose.
In Exodus 3, God calls Moses—not in a palace or on a platform—but while he was doing something completely ordinary: tending sheep. That’s how God often works. He doesn’t always shout from the sky. He shows up in the middle of the mundane. He meets us in our routines, in our responsibilities, and in our ordinary moments.
Moses saw a burning bush and approached it. What made that moment holy wasn’t the bush—it was God’s presence. In the same way, you don’t need a new place to discover your purpose—you need to experience God’s presence where you are.
Whether you’re in an office, a school pickup line, a break room, or a grocery store parking lot, God is present. The question is—are you paying attention? Purpose doesn’t always come with spotlight moments. Sometimes, it looks like being a faithful friend like Hushai (1 Chronicles 27). Sometimes it looks like doing your job with integrity, raising your kids with love, or showing up consistently for a neighbor in need.
God isn’t asking you to be impressive. He’s asking you to be faithful.
Even Jesus modeled this. The Savior of the world spent 30 years in obscurity before stepping into public ministry. He cooked fish, attended weddings, worked with His hands, and lived in community—all with divine purpose. And on the cross, He showed us the ultimate purpose: to glorify God and love people.
