Staff and Leadership Team

At HighPoint, we believe ministry is personal—and so is our team. From preaching and pastoring to planning events and eating Mexican food, our team brings faith and fun to everything we do. Get to know the people who help make HighPoint feel like home.

Andy King
Andy King

Lead Pastor

Andy serves as the Lead Pastor of HighPoint Church, where he brings a passion for preaching, pastoring, and helping people build lives that last. Before leading HighPoint, Andy spent years helping start churches around the world—and that global heart still shapes everything he does.

He’s a lifelong learner who’ll read just about anything he can get his hands on, a LEGO enthusiast, and a writer at heart. He may have lost a few friends in Atlanta by staying true to his beloved St. Louis Cardinals, but he’s not sorry (okay, maybe a little). And if you’re offering ice cream? Make it Nana Puddin’—banana, of course.

Whether he’s crafting a message, cheering on his team, or stepping on a rogue LEGO piece barefoot, Andy leads with heart, vision, and the kind of humor that keeps things grounded and real.

Amy King
Amy King

Family & Operations Director

Amy wears two hats at HighPoint—as our Operations Director and Family Life Director—which basically means she keeps everything running smoothly and makes sure families feel seen, supported, and spiritually equipped.

When she’s not leading teams or pouring into the next generation, Amy’s likely crushing a Burn Bootcamp workout or leveling up her Pickleball game (watch out, Andy—she’s coming for you). She never misses Taco Tuesday—because, in her words, “Mexican food is life”—and she’s been known to take down a serious stash of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Amy’s favorite Christmas movie is Home Alone, her music playlist is a tribute to 90s R&B, and her ability to drop a beat and keep things fun is only matched by her heart for Jesus and the HighPoint family.

Diamond Palma
Diamond Palma

HighPoint Kids Team Lead
(1st-5th grade)

Diamond leads HighPoint Kids ministry with a passion for helping kids discover God’s love in fun and creative ways. He’s  been part of the HighPoint family since 2016, a mechanical engineer by day, and someone who brings great energy to Sunday mornings!

Diamond is married to Kaliah and has two incredible kids, Karlynn and Kinslee. He’s a coffee enthusiast and loves to order steak from Waffle House.

When he’s not making things happen as an engineer or at HighPoint, Diamond loves to watch basketball and cheer on the Lakers.

Kaliah Palma
Kaliah Palma

HighPoint Kids Team Lead
(0-3 Years old)

Kaliah brings warmth, creativity, and a heart for people to everything she does at HighPoint. Before moving to Georgia in 2017, she was an active part of our Nashville ministry family—and we’ve been grateful to have her ever since!

When she’s not serving at church, Kaliah might be watching Disney movies on repeat (and loving it) with her two daughters. She loves a good hamburger, is a dedicated Joe Gibbs Racing fan, and never one to turn down a good laugh or a new home décor challenge.

Whether she’s helping someone get connected or cheering on her favorite NASCAR team, Kaliah does it all with heart and style.

Alison Rouse
Alison Rouse

HighPoint Kids Team Lead
(4 yr – PreK)

Alison was introduced to the HighPoint fam in the fall of 2021 along with her husband Brian and their three boys. Whether she’s helping behind the scenes or leading with a smile, Alison brings heart and a love for people to everything she does.

Outside of church, Alison thrives in the great outdoors—she loves to camp and hike! She’s a Burn Bootcamp regular, an avid reader, and a fan of all things creative (especially crafting). Her favorite food is anything Mexican, and her go-to movie is Little Women—though she’s also always down for a good Braves game or a deep dive into true crime.

If you ever need a chips and salsa partner or someone to talk the latest crime show, Alison’s your person!

Justin Coates
Justin Coates

Middle and High School Team Lead

Justin and his wife Britany began attending HighPoint in May 2021 with their four awesome kids, and he’s been bringing his problem-solving, hammer-wielding-fix-anything heart to our team ever since.

A true outdoorsman, Justin loves hiking, building things, and has even been known to jump off a waterfall or out of a perfectly good airplane. When he’s not outdoors, you’ll find him dominating a video game, locked into a board game with his family, or tearing up at a movie—seriously, he’s that guy who cries every time.

He’s all about seafood (crab cakes especially), cheering for the Braves, and geeking out over Marvel and Star Wars. Whether he’s behind the scenes making things work or jumping in to serve wherever needed, Justin brings heart, humor, and hands-on help to everything he does.
